The Kaizen Business

If your not already familiar with Onlywire it’s not a bookmarking site itself but rather it will submit your bookmarks to dozens of other bookmarking sites including some of the more popular social bookmarking sites like del.icio.us and Furl.

It works by manually creating an account on each of the individual sites like del.icio.us and Furl and then you enter those credentials into Onlywire and start bookmarking pages. After the initial time doing the setup and account creation on the individual sites it is a very easy process and certainly has the major appeal of being able to kill multiple birds with one stone.

I have been testing Onlywire out for a short while now to see if it’s a good way to generate traffic or links for a given site.

So how has it performed thus far? Not very exciting, I haven’t noticed traffic or links from any of the sites it submits your bookmarked pages. It doesn’t appear to be working with all of the services listed, sending bookmarked pages to some of them and not making it to any of the others at all.

Another suprise is that several of the sites listed in Onlywire for submission don’t appear to be working or are not active anymore.

The one major benefit is with the included web browser favorite it makes bookmarking pages with Onlywire incredibly quick and easy taking only seconds to bookmark a single page.

The final result? It’s still early yet to draw any serious conclusions so I am going to re-tool a little and let the experiment run longer.
