Results In Under Ten Articles

Prior to my re-release of the article marketing course I registered a domain, put up a sales page and aside from having a special here on the blog, promoted the prior version (sold on CD through Kunaki) purely with article marketing.

I have to say that the results turned out fairly well… In fact you can see for yourself just how well the effects of article marketing worked on a brand new domain by looking at these search results:

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=articlelistcourse.com

Now the total number of search results really isn’t terribly impressive at first glance. But this was with only having submitted a handful of articles… I don’t remember the exact number but it was far less than ten and interns did absolutely zero promotion.

During this time links where built, traffic came in and sales registered from those simple articles. Again this was without any other promotion, in fact I never even linked to or made public that domain until my “2007 Year In Review Post” and with the subsequent re-release of the course on a new domain I have not promoted the articlelistcourse.com domain since those initial articles.

How is that for results? In fact it is very simple to replicate. Build up a list of publishers and start writing and submitting good quality articles to them. If you look at those search results you will notice I did not use any of the big article repositories everyone else says you must use.

Still not sure where to start? Do you want these results with your article marketing? I have a solution for you here:

www.articlesintotraffic.com

After completing my course you will start bringing in high quality traffic that converts into sales while building links practically overnight.

  1. Hi Jim,

This is a really good result to hear about. Congratulations!

    2 questions…

You are doing a great job of getting articles out there. particular into Munius article directories. My articles aren’t showing up in Munius directories so are you manually submitting to them, or just using Artemis?

Also to judge your results and compare to my own, how many ezines are you submitting the articles to?

Martin— Currently it’s a combination of Artemis and manual submissions to select sites.

The external list is only about 1,500 at the moment.

  3. The real question is: how much traffic and sales have you generated off of these articles? It’s great to have links but like they say: where’s the beef?

    Hi Jim,

congratulations on your success with the new domain name.

But, I don’t think you can claim that your ranking is attributable to article marketing since your links are from your associates or associated product sites.

Also, your search URL is focused on your new domain name, so it’s hardly surprising to see top ten results for such a specific term.

  5. Never mind my other comment, I just reread your article and I see that traffic and sales came in.

Andy— I’m not claiming any search engine ranking… You can also get your articles on those sites just as easily as I can.

Good stuff. Interesting to see. I came across from JDB’s blog for a look see. Following on the first commenters observation I have also had no success at all getting article traction using Artemis to submit to the built in Munius directories. Is this because they are all Internet marketing oriented, d’you think? The 1500 you refer to — is that 1500 you’ve added to Artemis?
Thanks for any response in advance

Al— Since I don’t know how many Munius directories are “out there” its hard to guess at what the topics are for them.

1500 was roughly the size of my external list when submitting those articles.

  9. Hi Jim,

If I am correct this a chance to plug your Complimentary Article Tool - Hermes.

You got into the Artemis directories not by automated submissions, but by manual ones is that correct.

Like Al Smith, I don’t know anyone who has got Munius to automatically accept articles from Artemis except perhaps JB himself. So if you are submitting manually let us know. Hermes is brilliant for that. People can just add it as a simple procedure to their intern program!

Martin— Some show up on there own… some are posted manually. Presently I think the manual list has about twenty sites most of which are not Munius sites.

This is precisely why I wrote the article tool, it will take your Artemis formated articles and resource box file and churn out articles for manual submission.

    Results In Under Ten Articles…

A brief study done on a brand new domain that was promoted purely by submitting articles to ezines, newsletter publishers and related web sites. In all less than ten articles where submitted however that was enough to bring in good amounts of backlinks…
